When I first heard of the possible death of Michael Jackson, I immediately went diggin’ in the crates and started working on a tribute mix of Michael Jackson hits. Then I noticed all the bandwagon jumpers and people who don’t know the history, they just bought the Compilation and train wrecked it all together. I thought twice about releasing my M.J. tribute mix, just didn’t feel right. So instead I did what I do best, “Scotty Beam Me Up!” bling! and it came to me. Bust out the sickest mix you can think of that will take people back to the era I remember M.J. from. This is real music and real people will recognize it as that. In the end what I’m trying to say is that these busta’s need some schoolin’ and I’m the O.G. to do it.

01. Just because mommy bought you a laptop and Serato. You know how to navigate the web real nice, got all the music blogs on favorite, doesn't make you a D.J.
02. Just because you went to a corny ass DJ school and paid for your graduation, doesn't make you a D.J.
03. Just because you think you can grab a mic and act like a celebrity, doesn't make you a D.J.
04. Just because you play “Hip-Hop” that doesn’t make you a gangster, leave that shit to the real O.G.’s.

I remember the days when you had to know a D.J. and be taken under the wing so to speak. You had to pay your dues, carry crates, etc.. Then you had to hope to inherit a nice size vinyl collection from someone who was retiring and take your mentors extra copies he could spare to build your own crates. It took time dedication, devotion and a real passion for the art and the music. The craft just isn’t the same anymore. Thank you Serato for making it easier for me to do my job, but fuck you Serato for making it so easy for these clowns to pretend to be D.J.s and trick promoters into believing that shit.
